(VASEPNews) An Giang Fisheries Import Export Joint Stock Company (AGIFISH Co.) was founded and has officially operated in form of a joint stock company since 1st September 2001. Over the past years, the company was granted many awards including “Vietnam High Quality Products” and “Vietnam Brand”.
An Giang-based firm applies the quality control systems such as HACCP, SSQF, BRC, ISO 9001:2000, ISO 17025:2005 and etc in processing.
Agifish has been approved to export its seafood products to the EU market under 04 codes and also gained Halal certificate to export products to the Arab world.
Currently, Agifish operates three processing plants for pangasius fillet with total production capacity of 29,000 MT per year and one processing plant for value-added products with over 50 items.
In 2011, the company reached US$84 million of export value, bringing post-tax profit one-half times higher than what it had set early in the year. Besides, Agifish also focuses on domestic market. Sales in domestic market account for 10 – 15 percent of annual trading turnover.
