In second quarter this year, Agifish reached VND21 billion of post-tax profit, equal to 123 percent over the same quarter of last year. Agifish’s General Meeting of stakeholders planned to gain VND2,000 billion of turnover and VND62.21 billion of post-tax profit in the whole year; however, up to the end of June 2011, the firm realized 67.2 percent and 55 percent respectively. And the company finished the whole year plan in September.
In first three quarters of 2011, it reached VND2,000 billion of revenue, VND80 billion of before-tax profit and US$70 million of export value. Moreover, the company gained more VND42 billion from selling one building in Ho Chi Minh City.
In early October, An Giang was one of flood-hit provinces in Mekong Delta. Therefore, Agifish supported VND200 million, 300 notebooks and 500life-jackets for people in An Phu and Chau Phu districts.
Agifish is the 3rd pangasius exporter in Vietnam, after Vinh Hoan Corp and Hung Vuong Corp. The company turned back to the top seafood exporters of Vietnam as the expectation of Mr. Duong Ngoc Minh – Hung Vuong Corp’s Chairman and General Director when buying Agifish’s shares.
