(vasep.com.vn) On 15th February 2012, An Giang Fisheries Import and Export Joint Stock Company (Agifish) has hold meeting with nearly 100 pangasius suppliers from some Mekong Delta provinces, including An Giang, Dong Thap, Vinh Long and Can Tho and representatives from two feed mills: Viet Thang Feed Joint Stock Company and Hung Vuong Panga Feed Joint Stock Company.
At the meeting, Agifish presented to suppliers food safety standards required by importing markets and the realization of the Circular No.03/2012/TT-BNNPTNT issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to amend the Circular No.15/2009/TT-BNNPTNT of 17 March 2009 on list of banned and restricted drugs and chemicals in fish farming.
In 2011, the current supply chain has provided Agifish with nearly 60,000 MT of pangasius in high quality.
At the meeting, Nguyen Van Ky, Agifish’s General Director gave analysis, estimates and predictions on pangasius production and export trend in 2012.
He also engaged to provide financial aid to fish farmers and respect payment deadline in purchasing contract. Agifish expects to share profits and risks with its partners in the supply chain.
