Up to the end of June 2011, the company shipped 6.12 MT of frozen octopus; 23.7 million of fish cakes; 28.9 MT of frozen squid with the total value of nearly US$1 million in which frozen squid export volume was up remarkably but frozen octopus export volume was down significantly against those of the same period of 2010.
In June 2011, HaLong Simexco exported 2.4 MT of octopus and 4.7 million of fish cakes; worth US$182.5 thousand to Japan. Like a lot of seafood processors and exporters in the North of Vietnam, HaLong Simexco is facing with the scarcity of raw material to process and export.
