Pangasius exports to the Netherlands decreased in the Q1 and Q3/2015. In contrast, in Q2/2015, pangasius exports from Vietnam to the Netherlands grew up to 15% over the same period last year.

Through the first half of September 2015, pangasius exports to the Netherlands reached 38.66 million, down slightly from last year's result. It is still the largest export market for value added products.

Data from International Trade Centre (ITC), in H1/2015, Netherlands imports of whitefish  fell from the same period last year. Frozen cod and tilapia dropped by respectively 17.8% and 36.3%, respectively.

Currently, Vietnam is the largest source of pangasius for the Netherlands, with 83-84% of total imports. The Netherlands also imports pangasius from Indonesia and several countries in EU, such as Belgium, Poland and Germany.

Although export value decreased from the same period last year, but it is forecast to be higher in the coming period, especially for value added products.
