An Giang-based firm applies the quality control systems such as HACCP, SSQF, BRC, ISO 9001:2000, ISO 17025:2005 and etc in processing.
Agifish has been approved to export its seafood products to the EU market under 04 codes and also gained Halal certificate to export products to the Arab world.
Currently, Agifish operates three processing plants for pangasius fillet with total production capacity of 29,000 MT per year and one processing plant for value-added products with over 50 items.
In 2011, the company reached US$84 million of export value, bringing post-tax profit one-half times higher than what it had set early in the year. Besides, Agifish also focuses on domestic market. Sales in domestic market account for 10 – 15 percent of annual trading turnover.
To get success in business, Agifish always takes the product’s quality as the first priority in its production and trading activities.
In the tough economic time, Agifish continues to valorize pangasius fish; boost processing plants’ capacity to 32,000 MT a year; expand nationwide distribution agents, remain traditional markets and find other potential markets.

(vasep.com.vn) The global tilapia market is becoming increasingly segmented, not only among producing countries but also by product type and destination market. Supply is divided into groups with distinct competitive advantages: large volumes of whole fish and frozen fillets from Asia, high-value fresh fillets from Latin America, and substantial domestic consumption in several major producing countries.

According to Vietnam Customs data, as of September 15, 2026, Vietnam’s shrimp exports to the EU reached nearly $374 million, down 5% year-over-year and accounting for 10.7% of the country’s total shrimp export value. Meanwhile, the EU’s stotal shrimp imports through July 2026 contracted by 7% in volume, exhibiting divergent trends across Southern Europe, Northwestern Europe and Eastern Europe. These dynamics necessitate that Vietnamese enterprises closely monitor individualized market demand, rather than approaching the EU as a monolithic consumer block.
