With this breakthrough increase, from the 23rd position in 2020, this year the Philippines has become the 13th largest single import market of Vietnamese seafood.

In the structure of seafood products exported to the Philippines this year, scad (whole frozen) accounted for 35.5% with nearly 23 million USD, doubled over the same period last year.

Frozen pangasius fillets are the second most exported item to the Philippines, accounting for 22% with nearly 14 million USD, up 33% compared to the first 10 months of 2020. Tuna exports to this market also accounted for 21%, reaching above $13 million, up 46%. Vannamei exports to the Philippines also increased by 79%, reaching $5.6 million, accounting for only 8.7%.

Currently, there are more than 100 Vietnamese enterprises participating in exporting seafood products to the Philippines.
