Tra Vinh’s estimated seafood catch in August 2024 reached 4,961 tons, an increase of 31.78%, bringing the total seafood catch from the beginning of 2024 to an estimated 32,081 tons, an increase of 11.09%, of which the offshore catch was estimated at 29,438 tons, an increase of 13.03%.
The increase in offshore fishing in Tra Vinh compared to the same period last year is due to the decrease in operating costs (fuel, oil), leading to more fishing vessels returning to operation.
