The Seafood Expo Global is the largest seafood industry event in the world, truly becoming a professional playground and a strong foundation for connecting the international seafood community. The Seafood Expo Global (SEG) 2025 will take place from May 6 to May 8, 2025 in Barcelona, promising to be an important platform for the global seafood community to meet, trade, and seek business opportunities in seafood industry.
The 31st Seafood Expo Global gathers more than 2,000 exhibitors from 87 countries and territories, expecting to attract over 35,500 visitors, including import-export companies, seafood businesses, and experts in the seafood sector from 156 countries worldwide, covering areas from processing, aquaculture, and fishing to auxiliary industries such as machinery, equipment, services, and additives. This is also the exhibition with a national pavilion up to 75 booths.
Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP) has registered an area of 464m2 at SEG 2025, building up the Vietnam Pavilion. The booth is divided into two areas, including private booths area with a total area of 328 m2 and a shared booth area of 136 m2. A total of 35 seafood processing and exporting companies will join Vietnam Pavilion, including 04 shrimp processing companies, 09 pangasius processing companies, and 04 tuna processing companies, along with 18 companies processing general seafood products. Additionally, this year’s exhibition will also feature one company specializing in cold storage for the seafood industry. Moreover, there are several companies exhibiting outside the national Pavilion and a few companies conducting surveys, market exploration, and evaluations within the framework of the fair.
Key products displayed at the exhibition include pangasius, shrimp, tuna, tilapia, clams, squid, octopus, dried seafood products, value-added goods, and processed foods.
The slogan of Vietnam seafood industry at international fairs in 2025 remains as “Vietnam Seafood –Sustainable Destination”, conveying the message to customers that it is a green, clean seafood industry aimed at sustainable development. Within the framework of the fair, VASEP will continue to organize promotional activities, particularly focusing on Vietnam's key products such as shrimp, tuna, and pangasius by providing promotional materials. At this exhibition, VASEP will collaborate with the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment and the Vietnamese Embassy in Spain to organize the Pangasius Reception to honor the value of this product. The event is expected to be attended by Vietnamese Pangasius exporters and international importers with hopes of promoting and enhancing the value of pangasius in the European market. In addition, VASEP will maintain and organize a program showcasing seafood dishes at the booth, led by a foreign chef to continue promoting Vietnam seafood products to visitors.
