(seafood.vasep.com.vn) In the first months of 2025, aquaculture activities in Ninh Thuan province continued to develop and grow quite well, achieving many positive results.
The production structure has been shifted in depth, focusing on developing objects with high economic value. Many facilities, enterprises, and farming households focus on applying modern technology and safe biological farming processes to help the breed grow and develop well. The output of aquatic breeds in the first 5 months of 2025 is estimated at 21.820 million, an increase of 15.8% over the same period; of which, black tiger shrimp breeds reached 4.265 million post-larvae, white-leg shrimp breeds 17.145 million post-larvae.

The above results were achieved thanks to favorable weather conditions and effective farming processes; at the same time, the work of promoting the connection between supply and demand was promoted, so most shrimp breed production facilities in the province had an expanded market and increased consumption. The output of commercial aquaculture alone is estimated at 3,941 tons, up 6.9% over the same period. The increase in output is due to farmers applying high technology in marine farming using submerged cage technology adapted to windy conditions and deep sea areas to raise lobsters, high-value fish such as pearl grouper, etc. Along with that, environmental monitoring activities are carried out regularly to promptly warn, helping farming facilities and households respond effectively, regulate production plans appropriately, contributing to creating added value and opening up a new direction for the province's marine aquaculture industry to be stable and sustainable.
To continue to maintain the growth momentum of aquaculture production activities, the industry continues to coordinate with coastal localities to rationally structure aquaculture areas, select and develop key farming species associated with protecting the marine ecological environment.
