(TSVN) – The final months of the year are always a decisive period for the fisheries sector to achieve production goals. To ensure 2025 growth targets are met and even surpassed, on August 13, the Gia Lai Provincial People’s Committee issued an official directive to the Department of Agriculture and Environment as well as local commune and ward authorities, to implement synchronized management, technical and production linkage solutions. Gia Lai accelerates aquaculture activities in the final months of 2025

Accordingly, the Department of Agriculture and Environment, in collaboration with specialized agencies and local authorities, will review and adjust the stocking schedule to suit the characteristics of each aquaculture area, ensuring appropriate production cycles that minimize risks. Regular environmental monitoring and early warning of adverse factors are required, along with timely guidance on disease prevention and disaster response measures.
The province emphasizes strict management of food safety and traceability, as well as rigorous control over farming conditions, seed quality, feed and environmental treatment products. These are key factors to ensure Gia Lai’s aquaculture products meet market standards, especially when demand typically surges toward the end of the year.
Communal and ward People’s Committees were assigned with directing specialized agencies to fully and promptly implement plans while intensifying efforts to promote and encourage farmers to adopt advanced techniques, practice biosecure pond management and minimize negative environmental impacts. The development and expansion of production–consumption linkages are also encouraged to enhance value addition and stabilize market outlets for farmers.
According to industry experts, strengthening technical and management measures during this period not only reduces risks from diseases and environmental fluctuations but also improves productivity and product quality. This is also seen as a crucial step for Gia Lai’s fisheries sector to establish its position in the safe food supply chain, meeting the growing market demands.
With decisive direction from the provincial government, the collective efforts of local authorities and the proactive spirit of farmers, Gia Lai’s aquaculture sector is expected to close 2025 with positive results – ensuring both stable income for farmers while contributing to local economic growth.
