As of mid-April 2022, the total export value of Vietnam's pangasius to this market reached 17.2 million USD, up 69.4% over the same period last year.

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) In QI/2022, seafood exports to Canada increased by 61.4% over the same period last year. Vietnam's seafood exports to Canada are expected to continue to increase sharply due to the increasing demand for seafood in this market.

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) In February 2021, Vietnam's tuna export decreased by 22% compared to the same period in 2020, reaching nearly 43 million USD. Accumulated in the first two months of the year, the total export value of tuna reached 85 million USD, down by 10% compared to the same period in 2020. Vietnam has exported tuna to 54 markets around the world.

In the midst of the Covid-19 epidemic, Vietnam's tuna exports to Canada in the first 11 months of 2020 still increased by 25% over the same period. The Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), effective from January 14, 2019, has created leverage for tuna exports to this market.
