On 21 May 2014, the Government promulgates the Decree No. 51/2014/ND-CP providing the assignment of given sea areas to organizations and individuals for marine resource exploitation and use.
This Decree provides the assignment of given sea areas in Vietnamese sea regions to organizations and individuals for marine resource exploitation and use under investment certificates, marine resource exploitation and use permits or decisions of competent state management agencies; and responsibilities of state agencies, organizations and individuals involved in the assignment of sea areas.
This Decree applies to agencies, organizations and individuals involved in the assignment of sea areas, marine resource exploitation and use.
This Decree takes effect on July 15, 2014.
