On December 19, 2007, the Ministry of Health has issued the Decision No. 46/2007/QĐ-BYT on promulgating “Regulation on maximum residue level of chemical and biological contamination in foodstuffs”.
The effective date shall be 15 days after being posted on Official Gazette. Repealing the Decision No. 867/1998/QĐ-BYT dated 04 April 1998 of the Minister of Health on the list of hygiene standards applicabe to foodstuffs. In case the technical national standards is promulgated, maximum residue level of microbiology and contaminants shall be applied in compliance with such standards.
Chief of Cabinet, Chief Inspector, Directors of Sicience and Training Department, Legislation Department, Food Administrator, Provincial Departments of Health, Directors of the relevant other Departments of the Ministry and other sectors are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
