Yanmar (Japan) explores investment opportunities in Khanh Hoa

(vasep.com.vn) Yanmar company- subsidiary of Yanmar Group (Japan) has worked with Khanh Hoa provincial leaders to explore investment opportunities vessel construction.

 Yanmar Group (Japan) is one of the leading tuna businesses. Currently, Yanmar is implementing tuna catching project with Vietnamese fishermen in three provinces of Binh Dinh, Phu Yen and Khanh Hoa. Accordingly, 180 Japanese modern composite fishing vessels will be equipped. These save 30% fuel, shorten fishing trip duration and ensures highest quality tuna. The Japanese side purchase the tuna caught and organize training programs for fishermen to improving product quality.

Reportedly, in August 2014, UNINSHIP and Yanmar (Japan) launched the first composite tuna vessels under the project “Improving income for fishermen and sustainable developing tuna fishing job in Vietnam”.

The company will establish a legal entity in Khanh Hoa province, said Mr. Yukio Kikuchi, Project Director. The company expects to build a vessel factory covering the area of about 3 hectares, with an annual capacity of 300 vessels. Yanmar will carry out a field study and making investing plans.
