Of which, the export of fresh, frozen and dried tuna reached 336 million USD, an increase. 33% over the same period. And exports of processed and canned tuna reached USD 258 million, down 11%. Notably, the export of other processed tuna products, especially frozen steamed tuna loin, is increasing, up 11% over the same period.
According to statistics of Vietnam Customs, in the first 10 months of 2021, Vietnamese tuna products have been exported to 94 markets around the world.

US and EU markets
In October 2021, tuna exports to the US increased by 20% over the same period. By the end of October 2021, the total value of Vietnam's tuna exports to this market reached USD 259 million, up 10%.
Meanwhile, tuna exports to the EU in October 2021 decreased by 9.4%, reaching 15.3 million USD. However, thanks to good growth in the first half of the year, by the end of October 2021, tuna exports to the EU still increased by 5.4% over the same period, reaching more than $121 million.
Exports of canned tuna products to the two markets continued to decline. Meanwhile, exports of product groups such as processed tuna other than HS code 16, fresh, frozen and dried tuna increased.
Mexico and Israel markets
Mexico and Israel are the two tuna export markets expected in 2021 due to increased demand after Covid-19. In October 2021, tuna exports to these two markets continued to attract attention with triple-digit growth over the same period, at 446% and 358% respectively.
Besides, tuna exports to the Chinese market are also growing again. The value of tuna exports to this market in October increased by 85% over the same period, reaching 338 thousand USD.
