Spain raised importing fresh/live/frozen tuna from Vietnam
(seafood.vasep.com.vn) In the first 7 months of this year, Vietnam's tuna exports to Spain showed the year-on-year fall. Therefore, Spain was no longer in top 3 largest importers of Vietnam tuna.
According to the statistics of Vietnam Customs, in the first 7 months of this year, Vietnam's tuna exports to Spain (making up 1.37% of Vietnam’s tuna exports) totaled US$3.7 million, down 57% year on year. Spain currently ranked the 7th in top largest buyers of Vietnam tuna. This market increased imports of fresh/live/ frozen tuna (excluding tuna loins/fillets HS code 0304), and reduced those of other processed tuna and tuna loins/fillets from Vietnam.
According to the statistics of the World Trade Center, in the first half of this year, Spain’s tuna imports from other countries posted the slump with the value of more than US$408 million, down 8.3% from the same period last year.
