(seafood.com) Norway's salmon exports to China in January-August this year have recovered to the level in the corresponding period in 2010, according to reports of Norwegian news media.
Based on data from Norway, the cumulative salmon export value from Norway to China in the first eight months of this year aggregated NOK 232.6 million, approaching to NOK 251.9 million registered in the same period two years earlier. Volumes came to 7,218 tons, showing an increase from 6,034 tons in 2010.
In the January-August period in 2011, Norway's salmon exports to the Asian country stood much lower at 2,540 tons, with export value standing at as low as NOK98.2 million.
