Khanh Hoa: Tuna exports saw a sharp drop
(vasep.com.vn) In the first 8 months of 2013, Khanh Hoa province exported 5,000 MT of tuna in whole round, representing 30 percent less than that of a year ago.
So far this year, tuna exports of Vietnam in general and Khanh Hoa province in particular have been falling.
Between Jan and Aug 2013, Vietnam tuna exports to Japan registered 1,500 MT in which Khanh Hoa shipped 200 MT. Tuna exports of Khanh Hoa to the market reduced by 18 percent from the same period of 2012. Japan was the second largest importer of Vietnam tuna after the U.S. and EU.
