Khanh Hoa eyes 24,540 MT of aquaculture production in 2013
According to the Khanh Hoa Province Sub-Department of Aquaculture, the province’s aquaculture production is expected to reach 24,540 MT in 2013, up 6.7 percent year on year.
The volumes of farmed freshwater and marine/brackish-water fish are respectively 300 MT and 24,240 MT.
The province’s aquaculture area will be around 3,850 hectares and 25,320 cages. There will be 514 aquatic hatcheries with an estimated seed production of 3.534 billion.
Numerous measures are introduced to fight disease outbreaks in the province in 2013, i.e. promoting control of seed quality, scheduling crops as well as adopting effective disease prevention and treatment.
