Bidifisco to export ocean tuna to Japan
(vasep.com.vn) On the afternoon of 5th August, in Quy Nhon, Binh Dinh Province, Binh Dinh Fishery Joint Stock Company (Bidifisco) and Japanese Kato Hitoshi Office Co Ltd (Kato Office) signed a contract to export ocean tuna to Japan. This event was witnessed by Government Office, provincial leaders of Binh Dinh, experts, Japanese tuna importers and SaKai Japan- Vietnam Friendship association.
In accordance with the terms of the contract, Bidifisco supplies tuna for Kato Office, Japan, will act as a distributor of ocean tuna products in auction centers. On the afternoon of 6th August, Bidifisco sent the first shipment of tuna to Japan via air route and this shipment arrived in Japan the following morning.
Kato Office officials said tuna from Binh Dinh enters Japanese through one of the two methods: auctions and agents. Representative from Japanese company expects to the tuna export project with Binh Dinh will be a success.
Previously, Japanese experts transferred advanced fish catching technology for 5 local aided tuna vessels in Binh Dinh. Tuna chain production demo model in Binh Dinh was made in January 2014 with the involvement from fishermen, Bidifisco and Kato Office (Japan). In particular, fishermen contribute tuna catch, companies purchase, export and serves as sole agency in Japan.
Japanese representatives showed their desire to cooperate tuna exporting in the long run to promote tuna from Central Vietnam especially from Binh Dinh.
