Whiteleg shrimp farming under GlobalGAP standards

 The project is implemented according to 3 models in 6 households with the area of 4 hectares. Households are sponsored 100 percent of frying cost, 11 percent of feed cost (less than VND70 million per household).  Frying source is imported from Hawaii. Farming density is 120 - 150 pieces per square meter and time for raising is 3 months.

 According to GAP standards, farmers must obey techniques in selecting seed and farm location, feed for shrimp, using antibiotics, chemicals and bio-products, caring about farming ponds, health of farmed shrimp, sewage and wastes, shrimp harvesting and product preservation. After farming for test, if the project shows the satisfactory results, this farming model will be applied broadly.
