(vasep.com.vn) Thuan Phuoc Seafood & Trading Group was honored for its achievement of four-star Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) status. This is the fourth Vietnamese company to reach this achievement.
In 2014, Global Outlook on Aquaculture Leadership (GOAL) returns to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and lasting for 4 days (from 7th to 10th October 2014). The conference, which targeted to sustainable and improving production, attracted more than 300 seafood professionals and thought leaders around the world.
Global Aquaculture Alliance (GAA) strives to carry out its mission of responsible aquaculture by providing a venue at which leadership development, cooperation and education are encouraged. This year's theme is "Celebrating Leadership."
GOAL is attended by a cross-section of representatives from industry, retail and foodservice, government, academia, the investment community and the NGO community.
Since its inception in 2001, GOAL has evolved into a must-attend event for top-level seafood executives and thought leaders from around the world.

Reportedly, on 6th August, 2014, in the framework of Vietfish 2014 in HCMC, Mr. Carson Roper, representative of Global Aquaculture Alliance (GAA) rewarded four-star BAP to Minh Phu Seafood Corporation, Ut Xi Aquatic Products Processing Joint Stock Company and Soc Trang Seafood Joint stock Company (Stapimex).
Globally, there are only 7 companies recognized as four-star BAP. Those are companies which completed BAP assessment procedures for the whole production chain including feed mill, hatchery, fish farm and processing factory.
