(VASEPNews) Thuan Phuoc Seafoods and Trading Corporation (Thuan Phuoc Corp) has held the Labours’ Representatives Conference on 29 March 2012. At the conference, the firm announced its 2011 business results and outlined new orientations on production and trading in 2012.
According to Thuan Phuoc Corp, though the company faced negative impact of global economic fluctuation, it has actively changed its structure of markets and export items to get through difficulties. As the result, it gained US$70 million of annual revenue and VND40 billion of profit in 2011.
Tran Van Linh, Chairman and General Director of Thuan Phuoc Corp shared that in the first quarter of 2012, the company has earned US$8.5 million, a rise of 5 percent from the same period last year. Currently, Thuan Phuoc Corp can ensure high quality raw material supply thanks to its shrimp farming area of 150 hectares that were granted GlobalGAP certificate.
The firm has launched a range of policies in favour of workers, realised the Collective Labour Agreement and highlighted its responsibility on labours’ rights.
The conference also discussed measures to cut down business expenditures and enhance the responsibility of labours and improve labours’ living conditions.
