Higher efficiency and higher selling price of black tiger shrimp has resulted in an increase in intensive or semi-intensive farming area of black tiger at the locality. Many farmers decided to invest more in ponds renovation, shrimp fries and farming technology, etc. Thanks to adequate preparation and compliance with farming schedule, only 3.7 percent of the total farming area, or 1,709ha has been damaged.
