Seafood exports of Seaprodex Saigon showed promising signs in March this year. Due to negative impacts of the current financial crisis, the company exported only 33MT of seafood, valued at US$118,000 in the first two months of 2009.
However, seafood export volume in March alone increased strongly, reaching 45MT, worth US$243,000, bringing the total seafood exports in the first three months to 78MT, valued at US$362,000. Japan was the largest destination, importing 19MT of seafood for a value of US$140,300.
