(vasep.com.vn) So far this year, the U.S. still remains the leading black tiger shrimp importer of Phu Cuong Jostoco Corp. However, its shrimp shipments to the U.S. slowed down in May - June 2012.
In the first half of the year, Phu Cuong Jostoco exported to this market nearly 68 MT of shrimp for total of US$1 million. It also intensified sending black tiger shrimp products to Switzerland and other Asian markets like Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, Taiwan, and Malaysia.
In June 2012, the exporter focused on shipping products to three key markets, including France, the Philippines and Saudi Arabia, and generated US$382 thousand of export revenue.
In January – June 2012, the Ca Mau-based firm earned a great revenue from the U.S. and Asian markets and set off losses from European slow down market. Phu Cuong continues to export its main items of frozen black tiger but change its market structure corresponding to the global demand.
