In early 2000, experts from Naturland, International Marketology Organization (IMO), Swiss Import Promotion Programme (SIPPO), and Swiss traders visited the mangroveshrimp model in the Forest Fisheries Farm No.184 (now known as Forestry Company No.184) in Ca Mau Province. After this visit along with following surveys and research, SIPPO supported VASEP, Ca Mau Fisheries Department and Ca Mau Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (CASEP) to organize farming organic shrimp in Ca Mau mangrove forest, pilot applying in Forest-Fisheries Farm No. 184 and Camimex.
After two years of surveying, taking samples for testing, Farm No.184 and Camimex were evaluated as appropriate for organic shrimp farming and processing in line with standards set by Naturland. The farm has been inspected by the IMO and certified by the Naturland to export organic black tiger shrimp to COOP supermarket chain in Switzerland.
