In the beginning of March, SAOTA Foods Join-Stock Company (Fimex VN) will sign the first contract of whiteleg shrimp farming cooperation with Tan Tien Science and Technologies Company in Soc Trang province, Duong Kim Ngoc, General Director of the company said.
According to the contract, Fimex VN will farm the species in the area of 60 hectares in Long Phu district and another 100 hectares in Cu Lao Dung district.
Mrs Kim said that the farming would be applied in conformity with ACC (Aquaculture Certification Council) standards. The project contributes to diversifying farmed fishery and exported seafood products of Soc Trang province and supplies more raw materials for the processing industry of the province.
