Minh Phu Seafood Corp to run Minh Phu – Hau Giang plant

Currently, Minh Phu Seafood Corp has three shrimp processing plants in Ca Mau, province in Mekong Delta, representing a total operating capacity of 2,5 – 3 thousand MT per month.

The company continues recruiting and training skilful labours with an aim to boost processing capacity to complete the yearly plan and shrimp orders in the last four months of 2011.

In this time of the year, farmers in Mekong Delta are harvesting a large volume of whiteleg shrimp, so Minh Phu Seafood Corp can assure stable operation of processing plants and balance the proportion between whiteleg shrimp and black tiger shrimp.

To mobilize enough capital for the new plant, Minh Phu Seafood Corp raised capital of Minh Phu – Hau Giang Seafood Processing Company – an affiliate in Hau Giang province which was in charge of realizing the plant construction project – from VND500 billion to VND600 billion. This has changed the proportion of capital hold by the mother company. Minh Phu

Seafood Corp accounts for 97.5 percent of its affiliate’s charter capital now.

In first seven months of 2011, Minh Phu Seafood Corp’s exports recorded continuous growth and the company remained the first place in the top seafood exporters in Vietnam.
