Minh Phu Seafood Corp: Focus on new technology application

According to Vietnam Customs by the

Mr. Le Van Quang, General Director of the company said in addition to setting up a simple and effective management mechanism, the Corp also focuses on applying new technologies in shrimp production. He attributed old technologies to low grade products, material waster, and degrading product’s competitiveness in the market.

Thanks to continously improving and applying new technologies, the company succeeded in diversifying products with higher share of value-added products. So far, pre-processed shrimp accounts for just 20-30 percent of about 20,000MT, the total finished shrimp volume exported annually by Minh Phu, the remaining are high-grade products, which have been welcomed in the fastidious markets such as Japan, the U.S., and Europe.

Currently, Minh Phu Seafood Corp is buying shrimp from Central provinces and importing material from other countries to serve its export processing activities. It also provides jobs for 7,000 local people.
