Minh Phu Seafood: 9-fold rise in profit in Q.I/2014
(vasep.com.vn) In the first quarter of 2014, Minh Phu Seafood Corp (HOSE code: MPC) reached VND2,792.5 billion of net turnover, up 89 percent year on year, according to the company's financial report. The gross profit increased by 146 percent to VND394.7 billion.
This quarter, financial activities of Minh Phu Seafood created VND28 billion, up 25 percent. Minh Phu Seafood also earned VND1.8 billion from other business activities.
So far, Minh Phu Seafood totaled VND204.46 billion of net profit; in which, shareholders of the mother company earned VND165 billion of profit. These two figures were much higher than those reported a year ago. Earnings per share were fixed at VND2,372.
So far, Minh Phu Seafood completed 24 percent of its yearly plan to reach VND11,715 billion of turnover and 39 percent of its profit target of VND421 billion.
