Khaspexco’s higher revenue from marine fish export to Japan
(vasep.com.vn) In January – August 2012, Khanh Hoa Seaproduct Exploitation and Service Enterprise (Khaspexco) got higher revenue from all importing markets. The company mainly exported marine fish products to Japan, Australia and Canada.
In the first eight months of the year, Australia was the most important market of Khaspexco, importing US$5.1 million of marine fish product compared to US$3.5 million in the corresponding period of 2011. Shipment to Japan brought back US$1.5 million while the market purchased only US$1.1 million of fish products in January – August 2011. Canada reported an import value of US$900 thousand compared to US$500 thousand in the previous year.
These countries still have high demand for marine fish products supplied by Khaspexco. The company sold fish with 20-percent rise in price, but it could not compensate expenses for raw materials for processing which were more expensive in the local market. Moreover, domestic supply of sea fish was unable to satisfy needs of importing market. Therefore, Khaspexco aims to find more suppliers as well as diversify its products to meet traditional partners’ orders.
