(vasep.com.vn) In the first months of 2014, shrimp exports of Cafatex Corporation to Japan was slowing down compared to the same time of 2013. The company has still kept business and ensured jobs for its workers thanks to its traditional importers.
Japanese buyers sourced 70 percent of Cafatex shrimp sales in terms of value, mainly value-added products.
In April 2014, whiteleg shrimp and black tiger shrimp saw drop in export prices. Demand for Vietnamese shrimp in the global market is expected to increase in June and July, pushing prices up.
