(vasep.com.vn) In September 2012, Halong Service and Import Export Joint Stock Company (Halong Simexco) earned US$255.5 thousand of seafood exports. This led to total of US$2.27 million in the first nine months of the year.
Fish cakes sales accounted for the largest part in its export revenue. In September 2012, Halong Simexco sold 3.4 million of fish cakes to get US$180.3 thousand. From January to September, 28.7 million of cakes were sent abroad with worth of US$1.843 million. Over these years, Japan remained traditional market of Halong Simexco’s products.
The company exported 6.06 MT of frozen octopus to Japan for US$75.1 thousand in the September. In the nine months of the year, shipment of this item reached 40.9 MT, valued US$432.9 thousand.
Halong-based firm plans to generate US$240 thousand of seafood exports in October.
