In the first nine months of 2009, Gepimex 404 exported 2,868MT of surimi fish for a value of US$3.014 million to South Korea.
The company also shipped 1,491MT of Pangasius fillet, worth US$4.022 million mainly to six markets, Hong Kong, Algeria, Egypt, Canada, Japan and Mexico. Among them Hong Kong was its largest destination, consuming 229MT worth US$609,000.
In September alone, the company earned US$777,669 from exporting 488MT of seafood, bringing the total seafood export volume in the first nine months to 4,360MT, worth US$7.037 million.
