Gepimex 404: Nearly 300MT of surimi and Pangasius fillet exported

Gepimex 404 has pushed up its export volume of surimi thanks to increasing demand in many markets since the last months of 2009.

In January 2010 alone, Gepimex 404 exported 271MT of surimi to South Korea, and 26.4MT of Pangasius fillet to Hong Kong, valued at US$382,000. In addition, it exported on mandate 267MT of Pangasius fillet to Saudi Arabia, China, Uruguay, and 10MT of surimi to South Korea.

Gepimex 404’s Director, Mr.Le Van Hoang, said the exported volume of Pangasius fillet and surimi in January was higher than that of the previous months, but still lower in comparison with the same period of 2009.
