Fimex VN to reach 15 percent growth in 2013

(vasep.com.vn) In 2013, Saota Foods Joint Stock Company (Fimex VN) plans to strengthen its business and improve the quality of shrimp products to export.

This year, the company expected to boost its farming area to 170 hectares, with the main farm in Vinh Chau town, Soc Trang province.

It is located in coastal area and near roads, facilitating water supply for shrimp growing and transportation of raw material for processing.

Fimex VN increased the chapter capital by VND50 billion and pours VND30 billion into developing the farm.

In 2012, Fimex VN injected VND7 billion in controlling the quality of raw material and finished products before export in order to prevent risks in the whole production chain. High quality and disease-free products are very important for the firm to develop in the current situation and improve its brand name.

This year, Fimex VN aims to increase production and sales by 15 percent from those reported in 2012.

In 2012, the company processed 7,150 MT of shrimp of all varieties to gain US$75 million of turnover. Though the 2012 target was not reached, the company still generated VND10 billion of annual profits.
