Fimex VN’s revenue increased 50 percent

Due to shrimp disease, shrimp production in the south province Soc Trang reached only 20 percent over that of the same period last year. Even in the situation of firm raw shrimp supply, Fimex VN’s revenue in first eight months of 2011 stood at US$52 million, up 50 percent from the same period of 2010.

In July 2011, Fimex VN processed 877 MT of frozen shrimp, bringing its total sales (including agro-products) to US$11.2 million. This result helped to boost revenue in first seven months of 2011 to US$43.7 million, representing a rise of 172 percent over the same period last year. This result promises that the company will reach its target of US$80 million in 2011.

This year, Fimex VN also plans to gain VND1,680 billion of sales, VND30 billion of profit before tax and dividend yield of 25 percent (equivalent to VND2,500 per share).
