In August, Fimex VN produced 1,404 MT of frozen shrimp. From year to August, 7,547 MT of shrimp has been supplied by the company. This is equivalent to 110% of the result in the same period in 2014. Agricultural products also grew by about 10%.
Sales in August reached US$ 13.8 million. Cumulative sales value for 8 initial months of this year was US$ 83.7 million.
Reportedly, on 9th Sptember 2015, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) announced final decision on antidumping tax, the POR9. Fimex VN was free from this tax. According to CEO Ho Quoc Luc, this unveiled the efforts of the company to create trust in US customers.
With POR9 results lower than POR8, Vietnam shrimp export to the US is expected to rise.
