Cargill Vietnam Ltd transfered techniques for shrimp farmers

(vasep.com.vn) At mid October 2012, in Tien Giang province, Cargill Vietnam Ltd in coordination with Tien Giang Sub-Department of Aquaculture held a seminar “transferring techniques in shrimp farming” for 100 shrimp farmers from the provinces (Tien Giang, Ben Tre, Bac Lieu, Soc Trang, Ca Mau).

At the seminar, Dr. Chalor Limsuwan coming from Kasetsart University, Thailand as well as an expert in shrimp farming presented techniques in shrimp farming from pond cleaning, waste and enviroment management, etc.

Dr. Chalor Limsuwan explained differences between shrimp farming experiences in Thailand and Vietnam and introduced farmers some proper methods of shrimp farming pond management in order to gain more output, reduce epidemic and risk in the process of shrimp farming.

Thanks to the seminar, farmers can know techniques in shrimp rearing, learn experiences from Thailand to apply into Vietnam with an aim to reduce loss caused by disease and increase effectiveness in shrimp breeding.
