Ca Mau: Rise in shrimp productivity

Annual shrimp productivity under the farming model reached 400-460 kilogram per hectare, 20-30 percent higher than when only rice or shrimp was cultivated.

So far this year, local farmers have stocked on 730 hectares of the industrial shrimp farming area, completing 80 percent of the plan set by the province. Accordingly, farmers have harvested 3,600 MT on the area of 697 hectares with average productivity of 5.2 MT per hectare.
