Bac Lieu Fis: Applying successfully ISO: 22000 to improve the quality and productivity

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) According to Directorate for Standards, Metrology And Quality, Bac Lieu Fisheries Joint Stock company (Bac Lieu Fis) applied successfully ISO 22000: 2005 to increase its quality and productivity.

After the application, the company is aware of putting the Food safety management systems under ISO 22000:2007 to control its daily operations.

Thanks to the system, the company can produce higher quality products to supply to its customers. The system helps to identify improper products to readjust and reduce the production costs. Besides, it contributes to restructure the company’s management system.

The main products of Bac Lieu Fis include fresh shrimp and frozen cooked shrimp, or frozen boiled okra, with major importers such as the EU, Korea, Japan, the U.S, Canada and UEA.
