Au Vung Co: Shirmp exports up 79.2 percent in 2013
(vasep.com.vn) In 2013, Au Vung Seafoods Company (Au Vung Co) reached US$102 million of shrimp exports, up 79.2 percent against those of 2012. Au Vung Co mainly sent products to South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, China and the EU countries. Its key items were black tiger and whiteleg shrimps.
Au Vung Co faced to the lack of raw shrimp for processing in 2013. However, the company eased difficulties through diversifying other kinds of shrimp products to sell abroad.
In 2014, Au Vung Co plans to reduce black tiger shrimp volume and focus on whiteleg shrimp and wild white shrimp products. It targets to keep its revenue of US$120 million from shrimp export in 2014.
