(vasep.com.vn) Vinh Hoan Corporation (Vinh Hoan Corp) received ASC certification for its Tan Hoa farm, establishing itself as the first ASC-certified pangasius farm in Vietnam.
As a pioneer in sustainable development, Vinh Hoan Corp has developed fish farming ponds in compliance with the ASC standards since 2010. With the goal, the company committed to build up its business along with ensuring eco-friendliness and social responsibility.
Over these years, Vinh Hoan Corp has made many efforts to gain ASC certificate. It is striving to increase the number of fish farms granted by ASC program.
ASC-labeled pangasius produced by Vinh Hoan Corp are sold in the Netherlands under brand of Queens panga. With the new label, the line of products is expected to be strongly consumed in this market. Its Dutch partner – Queens Products – has also pursued sustainable development policies for many years and considers sustainability as key criteria to select fish suppliers.
Harry Hoogendoorn, Director of Queens Products said the company was proud of Vinh Hoan’s first ASC certificate for responsibly farmed pangasiusis. And consumers could find ASC logo in every pangasius product distributed by Queens since late September 2012.
