(vasep.com.vn) In July 20th 2012, Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP), Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association (VITAS), Vietnam Leather & Footwear Association (LEFASO) in co-ordination with Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT), General Department of Viet Nam Customs held a conference on building harmonized labor relations and simplifying administrative procedures in import and export activities.
Although a project on administrative procedure reform was processed, so far it has still posed a lot of problems in implementation. Complicated administrative procedures are increasingly create troubles for enterprises, especially in the wake of economic instability, Ms. Dang Phuong Dung-Deputy Chairwoman of VITAS said. State agencies should support enterprises to develop.
Increasingly complicated administrative procedures are creating major hardship for them. Although competent authorities promised to solve enterprises’ difficulties, in fact their specific actions are too sluggish.
So far this year, VASEP has proposed 10 recommendations to Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD), until now only some small recommendations were solved. In the face of global economic crisis, it is very difficult for enterprises to survive and develop, particularly compete with foreign producers, Mr. Nguyen Huu Dung, Deputy Chairman of VASEP said.
Regarding to employee-employer harmonized relations, many enterprises said that the government only cares about employees’ interests without giving prominence to employers’ benefit and trade union’s role in this relation is still weak.
