Bivalve molluscs exports to the EU continuously grew by double digits in all months of the second quarter of this year.

In the first 6 months of this year, among EU member countries, Italy, Spain and Portugal are the three main single markets importing bivalve molluscs from Vietnam, accounting for 21%, 17% and 12%, respectively. respectively, reaching a value of USD 13 million, USD 10 million and USD 7 million, up 19-76% over the same period last year.
In the structure of Vietnam's bivalve mollusc products exported to the EU, clam accounts for the highest proportion, accounting for nearly 70% of the value, including products such as boiled, steamed, whole brown clam, white clam, silk clam. Steamed and boiled clam products are exported to the EU the most.
