Upgrading fishing ports and markets in the South Central of Vietnam
(vasep.com.vn) Khanh Hoa People’s Committee decided to upgrade infrastructures in two fishing ports of Vinh Luong and Hon Ro and fish markets in the South Central of Vietnam, which are now degraded and cannot satisfy rising demands.
Currently, there are 8,000 fishing boats landing at Vinh Luong port per year and the number is about 15,000 boats at the port of Hon Ro. However, Hon Ro was previously designed to receive 5,000 boats a year. Therefore, investments in improving infrastructure will help Hon Ro become the key and modern distribution center in the South Central, providing good logistics services to the fishing industry and contributing to protection of environment surrounding the fishing port and Nha Trang city as well.
