In Jan-Feb 2016, capture and aquaculture production of Kien Giang hit 102,607MT, completing 14.82% of the plan, up 4.73% over the same period of last year. In which, shrimp production was 3,439MT, completing 6.03% of the plan and up 8.8% year on year.
Fish production in Quang Binh rose 8.7%
In Feb 2016, fish production in Quang Binh province reported a year-on-year climb of 5.9% with the volume of 3,069MT. The figure in Jan-Feb 2016 estimated to reach 5,903 MT, an increase of 8.7% over the same period last year.
In which marine catch in Feb 2016 reached 2,464 MT, up 5.3% over the same period last year; the figure estimated in Jan-Feb 2016 at 4,744 MT, up 8.9% year on year. Specifically, finfish in all varieties with 4,046.5 MT, up 9.3%; shrimp 98 MT, up 2.1%; other marine products with 599.7 MT, up 7.1% over the same period last year.
