Crab exports up 9.4% in QI/2015
(vasep.com.vn) In QI/2015, Vietnamese companies earned US$ 21.9 million from crab sales abroad, representing a 50.4% decrease from the previous quarter but also showing a 9.4% year on year growth.
With imports growing by 52%, occupying 4% (from last year's 2.9%) of Vietnam's total crab exports, ASEAN surpassed China to be Vietnam's fouth biggest crab market.
Top 8 markets accounted for 95% of total export value. The US, EU and Japan maintained their positions in top 3. Vietnam's crabs exports to these markets made up 83% of total crab exports.
